Why nature-based coaching?
We are outdoors and walk through an inspiring green and natural environment. I support you with a suitable set of methods and tools so that you can fully utilize your resources and achieve your goals.
You leave your usual hectic pace and the daily grind and become immersed in a world full of natural sounds, smells and colors. Nature far away from noise and annoying distractions is soothing and provides strength and comfort. It has been proven that natural environments support our organisms in lowering stress levels and help us to relax. In nature, we regenerate more quickly, become more productive and we are more concentrated in handling our tasks. In addition to that moving in natural settings helps you abandon recurring thought patterns, because it encourages the flow of ideas and keeps thoughts in constant flux. That in turn enables you to develop new and creative solutions for your life.
Nature supports you in finding yourself. In natural settings, you are more alert and can make use of all your senses. You also benefit from having the space and time it takes to resolve your issues. Nature often mirrors our concerns and shows us which path to follow. Just as the seasons can point to growth or letting go of something, streams can support us in finding our way out of bogged down situations. They can also provide the impetus to get a process going that is important to you.
Approach and length of a nature-based coaching session:
Meeting point: trailheads to the Wienerwald that can be easily reached by public transport (Steinhofgründe, Jubiläumswarte, LainzerTiergarten, etc.). The location also depends on your specific issue.
Length: about 2 hours
Objectives, topics and methods: depend on your issues, light exercise, mindfulness and meditative elements, discussing your topics while being in motion, trails suitable for your issues, plenty of room and time to work on your personal growth, interacting with the natural environment
Equipment: appropriate boots (hiking boots would be ideal), clothing depending on the season, raincoat, backpack containing water, cereal bar or a sandwich. I always provide hot tea.
